Government of Canada supports innovative research and development in Kelowna

Kelowna, British Columbia — Ron Cannan, Member of Parliament for Kelowna-Lake Country, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), today announced a contribution to CoreHealth Technologies Inc. from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).

The funding supports an innovative research and development project that will assist CoreHealth launch a comprehensive software development project aimed at helping to reduce health care costs.

"Our government is committed to building a competitive advantage for the Canadian private sector and supports these leading-edge technology solutions," said Mr. Cannan. "The Government of Canada is investing in science and technology to create jobs, strengthen the economy and improve Canadians’ quality of life.”

This $138,000 contribution will support the Kelowna-based company in further developing their health coaching initiative that integrates with the firm’s motivational online wellness and preventative health systems.
